What is coaching?

Coaching is first and foremost a partnership. A coach’s job is not to advice, consult, or therapize (those are different things), but rather provide support and hold space. A coach listens, and asks questions, following the client’s lead. It’s a process of discovery, one that is done in a supportive and intentional container for growth.

Coaching is not my main gig, but I find the principles of coaching are incredibly valuable to my personal and professional relationships. As a leader, I act more as a coach than a captain, focusing on building bonds so I can understand how to show up, provide support, and work together. It helps me ask better questions, find deeper insights, and stay in the process rather than rush to a solution. It's about exploring the stories we have and want to tell about ourselves.

I am the go-to person in my friends and family for a pep talk, a gut check, and perspective shift. It’s a great joy and, frankly, an honour to be given this role as it requires tact, empathy, and strong communication. (And sometimes incredible patience and tenderness).

How coaching fits into my life & work

My Approach

Sessions are client-centric and client led. I am there to listen and play back what I’ve heard. This helps us get to the centre of our work together, recognize patterns, and set a path forward.

Active Listening

This starts with questions. I get curious with you, providing space to wonder out loud. As we dig deeper, we start to reveal areas for growth, your gifts, and your blueprint for building something new.

Supportive Curiosity

The work we do doesn’t need to be serious all the time! Finding a moment for levity, laughter, and play helps us adjust to change, find lightness in the dark, and create deeper connections.
